Prilimenary Excercise

This was our first video we made for our prilimenary task. Our task was to create a video of somebody walking to a room talking to somebody else and collecting soemthing and leaving. We think we had done a good video seens as all we knew was very basic skills and rules of media. We kept it simple and used everything we knew, we feel we have edited it well.

Analysing a smiliar film - Vantage Point

In this trailer we can see how the camera flicks into different points of view showing you the whole where abouts, and the main characters in the film. It intoduces by opening with an establishing wide shot settignt he scene to allow the veiwer to see, whats going on roughly and where? The lighting seems to be quite bright this is maybe to allow you to see it is a happy environment and a good event is taking place. It then introduces you to the characters which seem to be the bodyguards which give you the impression somehting bad is going to happen as it focuses on them alot and their suspicious looking faces. We then get to see faces of some members of the public seeing there faces and we can establish for ourselves what we make of them and how we label them before we actually understand whats going on. Suddenley the president gets penitrated into the chest and we realise he has been shot  as he calapses slowly to the ground. but we dotn know where the bullet comes from. In our film openingwe are going to seel the back of the snipest after the assination showing his silhouette but not revealing who the murder is.

Action/Thriller - Breif Idea

We have decided to change our genre of our film clip to an action/thriller as we have all came up with a good idea combining some of thwe previous ideas we had.  We have changed our story line to a similar storyline to the film 'vantange point'. The breif idea is that we are goign to have a famous person opening a new housing estate on a building site, but unfortunatley they get assasinated, but does someone see the murderer? We then see teh murder packing away but enevr reveal his face! Does he get caught ? What was his motive? We have a small flashback and get a breif idea as to what is going on but it should leave the audience confused and usnure as to what is happening, making them want to watch the whole film. We decided to change our idea because we all felt more comfortable with this idea and all contributed part of the idea. Also because action and thriller was also one of the most popular with the audience we questioned.

Main project outline

Above is one of our initial ideas in detail. It shows almost every aspect of things we have to take into consideration before the cretaing of our film. We created this diea from developing our other intial ideas until we came up with one we all agreed and felt was a good and inventful idea to go ahead with.

Video Ideas

Above are our 3 ideas we came up with based upon a thriller/horror film we used the software prezi to present our isdeas to our media group, it was a more inventive way of showing it, we then gained feedback from each breif idea.

An analysis for timeline

This is an analysis of the film opening 'Casino Royale' I have analyasised it and taken note of when all fo the times when titles enter the screen and in whcih order. This will our group an idea of how long to leave between each title and when to put each role e.g. Director, producer etc.
